What it does
Four things, and nothing else. It is not a design package, a CAD program or a job management system, and it does not want to become one.
It takes your parts as they are
Label, width, height, quantity. Four columns. If a part must keep its grain running one way, that is a fifth. Nothing else is required to get a layout.
It lays them onto real stock
Full sheets, part sheets, or lengths of timber. Offcuts you already own get used before anything new is opened.
It allows for the blade
Kerf and trim are real numbers on real sheets, not a fudge factor. A layout that ignores them is a layout that fails on the last part.
It prints something you can use
One sheet per page, parts labelled with their finished sizes, ready to be taped to the wall and written on.
What that is worth on one job
A kitchen firm cutting eighteen carcasses out of 18 mm melamine faced board. The parts had not changed. Only the order they were cut in.
The remaining 13.9 per cent is mostly a 57 mm strip along the foot of every sheet, because the carcass sides are 570 deep and two rows of them plus the blade will not fill 1220. No layout removes that. We would rather tell you than round it away.
